About The Author
Hi. I'm Phil. Also known as @gadgetoid.
I've always been an avid tinkerer. But I didn't dive head-on into electronics until the Raspberry Pi landed.
Since then, I've created, maintained, and abandoned the WiringPi library. Written tutorials and guides. Built Pinout.xyz to teach everyone about the Pi's GPIO pins. And joined the crew at Pimoroni to design products, write sofware and... everything else!
At Pimoroni I got the opportunity learn Eagle and fail my way to competence under the watchful eye of Jon. I've since designed Propeller HAT, Drum HAT and Piano HAT and had a hand in every Flotilla module. And I've got more in the pipeline!
This book is a labour of love. An effort to document useful knowledge for myself, future colleagues and the community. A way to give something back. And push my knowledge of Eagle to learn new things.
I've made this book free. I didn't want to set a barrier to this knowledge for people who don't have the means to pay. If you want to support me a simple thanks on Twitter, or in person, will do.
You can also support my career, and those of other awesome makers, by buying the things I create from Pimoroni or Adafruit.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you find this book useful!
