Your Idea

Walk Before You Run

Laying out a printed circuit is complicated. Altering a design mid way through the process will give you a headache!

It's not that you can't alter a design, but often a simple change can have knock-on effects to your whole layout.

This is why it's important to walk before you start running, and figure out what it is you're going to make.

For the first run through this book I recommend you follow along with the example circuit, the infamous Atari Punk Synth.

Then, you can come back to this chapter and learn how to sketch an idea, source parts and make the tricky decisions.
